Hi Beehive
designers,
Okay here
goes. My foyer and hallway is painted in Waverly New England Yellow, in a
semi-gloss finish I believe. My kitchen is sage and can be seen from the
living room. What would be a nice complementary color to the Waverly
New England Yellow and sage color? I have brown microfiber sofas and two
paintings that I love with various reds/poppies and greens framed with dark
frames. Any specific direction or suggestions with this is greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Penny
Hi Penny,
Glad you wrote!
I don't know if you want to have a deep or light color in the living room. I would suggest going in the khaki direction. The Waverly color palette has a nice one - WV38001. You can also try the following from Valspar's Ultra Premium Colors:
Lights:
Dakota Trail 6008-3B Woodlawn Misty Morn 6008-3A
Mediums:
Prairie Dance 3006-10A Cliveden Sandstone 3007-10B Epic 6008-3C
In the living room I would definitely go with a warm neutral that will work with your sofa. I would head towards the greens because that will really make your painting pop. Do you have a rug? If so, consider the colors in that as well.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Ann and the Beehives
