I want...NEED...to paint the exterior of my house. It has not been painted since it was built 8 years ago (with very cheap paint that has turned to chalk.) Almost my entire neighborhood it tan or beige, but I would like to go more tropical to fit the style of the home. I'm thinking a turquoise or aqua. Any suggestions?

Since the rest of the homes in your neighborhood are tans or beiges, I'm going to first give you a color, Lake Breeze to look at. This is a soft aqua that might resonate nicely with the houses around it. Since you have a large scale home, a big bright color might look a little overwhelming. Additional suggestions include Simply Seafoam and Aqua Glow.
Also, I strongly recommend that you use paint samples directly on the house or on sample boards. Look at the different options and look at them around the house and throughout the day to be sure you really love the color. This is really important, especially because painting the exterior of a house is not a simple Saturday afternoon project.
Let us know how it goes and if you'll need more color samples. Happy painting!
