Design Dilemma - Neutralizing Carpet with Color

Dear Beehive,
I just bought a house where there will be lots of rooms to paint (they removed the wallpaper thank goodness!)  The master room has salmon carpeting.  What color will downplay the carpeting?

Hi Lisa,
If you want to neutralize the salmon carpeting, go with a warm neutral like: Sahara Sands, Churchill Hotel Maple or Rodeo Dust.  Then bring in some bolder colors through your fabrics.  You can introduce chocolate browns, silvers, or any brighter colors like grass green, watery blues, or vibrant roses with pillows or drapes.
