Gentlemen, we at Beehive are well aware of how difficult it can be to identify one’s color preferences.
However, good references are hanging in your closet - the color of your favorite ties.
Indeed, ties are little palettes - a great source of inspiration when searching that perfect color combination. For walls, a neutral color combined with one or two accent colors.

After a very busy week of networking and event-going, Ann and I made it to ICFF. This year the experience felt very much like a walk in the woods. “Nature as inspiration” was everywhere! From Valspar's clever “wall as a canvas” conceptual booth, where an actual wall was being painted again and again to the beat of their new ad campaign, to the almost theme-like “tree” inspiration, or the earth friendly use of material used by a good majority of exhibitors.

The Pantone selection for spring is a collection of neutral and bold hues that balance each other out beautifully. While classic neutrals are elegant and reassuring, zesty splashes of brighter hues will lend a sense of excitement and exoticism to any palette.

Almost a month after its release, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is still catching our attention. The story and graphics alone deserve mention, but more importantly, the colors were genius. From the Red Queen to the Mad Hatter, the Caterpillar to the Cheshire Cat, these bold colors jump off the screen and into our imaginations. Oh! The fun we could have with these vivid hues. Check out ShelterPop’s Wonderland-inspired décor if you are looking for pieces to complete the room.

Since Easter is around the corner and pastel colors are everywhere this time of the year, I would like to share my love of these colors. When people think pastels they think nurseries or children’s rooms, but I think pastel colors are well suited for any area of the home. And no, they are not only for the incurable “romantics”, they also can have a very modern appeal or even a rustic feel! Here are some rooms which I hope will inspire you with their soothing appeal.
